No. 15 Baylor Bears vs No. 14 West Virginia Mountaineers

Baylor might be the underdog in this contest, but the Bears are coming off a disappointing home loss to Texas and are going to be out for blood Saturday evening on the road. The Big 12 has been rough on the Bears recently as they’ve posted just a 2-2 record in the past four games.

The Bears have been solid on offense this season, averaging about 80 points per game while shooting over 47 percent from the field. Taurean Prince leads the way with 15.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. He’s followed by Rico Gathers who is averaging 13 points and 10.4 rebounds per game while shooting over 56 percent from the field.

West Virginia had beaten No. 1 Kansas a few weeks ago, but have been somewhat mediocre since, posting a 3-3 record. Losses to Texas at home and at Florida have been disappointing, but the ceiling for the Mountaineers is quite high. A win against Baylor could be a huge confidence-booster moving forward.

Senior guard Jaysean Paige is having a breakout season, going from about five points per game last season to a team-high 14 points per game and 37 percent three-point shooting. Devin Williams is a close second on the team in scoring with 13.2 points and first on the board with 8.9 boards per game.
