Richard Sherman posts heartfelt message to Marshawn Lynch
By David Rouben
The Seattle Seahawks lost an invaluable member of their team, and Richard Sherman sent a heartfelt message to Marshawn Lynch.
Amidst a defensive battle at the Super Bowl, Marshawn Lynch directed people’s attention elsewhere when he posted a cryptic tweet that basically announced his retirement. The Seattle Seahawks will certainly miss their star running back, as his teammate and leader of the Legion of Boom, Richard Sherman, made sure to send a proper goodbye:
Ever since he broke into the league in 2007, Lynch hasn’t stopped working hard. Many Bills fans will still lament how little they got in return when they traded him to Seattle, but they must have been happy to see him win a Super Bowl. It’s no surprise that he formed a close bond with Sherman, since they were the two most impactful players on some dominant Seahawks teams.
Lynch has provided many memorable moments during his career, from Beast Quake in the playoffs to his now infamous Super Bowl media day. While reporters may not miss him, fans and his teammates will. Expect more of his teammates to follow Sherman’s lead and post heartfelt messages in the coming days.
