We give you the updated Super Bowl 50 odds.

Super Bowl 50 is finally here, and the line has closed a bit. The Carolina Panthers are actually only favored by 4.5 points over the Denver Broncos after laying 5.5 and 6.5 points for most of the week, according to OddsShark. Carolina went 15-1 in the regular season before absolutely pounding the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals in the NFC playoffs.

Denver is 12-4 and defeated both the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game, despite being an underdog at home in the latter contest. The Broncos are defying all the odds by reaching the Super Bowl while playing two quarterbacks in Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler. Osweiler started seven games and was benched in Week 17, and then Manning took over for the postseason. Manning tossed 17 interceptions in the regular season but has yet to throw one in the playoffs.

Carolina is clearly the superior team, enjoying the Most Valuable Player in quarterback Cam Newton. Newton threw 35 touchdown passes and ran for another 10 while accounting for more than 70 percent of his team’s yardage. The best matchup to watch is Denver’s offensive line and Carolina’s defensive front. If Manning has time in the pocket, this could be one of the better Super Bowls in recent years.
