Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton ended up leaving his press conference because of the Denver Broncos.

After Super Bowl 50 ended and the confetti had fallen over the Denver Broncos, all anyone could talk about was Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton walking out on his press conference after the game.

Newton was immediately skewered by everyone for walking out and his behavior was immediately called into question again. However, after further review of Newton’s press conference, it’s clear that as Newton was sitting there, he could hear from the curtain behind him, Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. loudly gloating in his press conference about forcing Newton to throw all night.

Harris is so loudly audible on the other end of the press conference, that it is easy to see why Newton couldn’t even concentrate or focus on the questions that were being asked him. He just lost the toughest game of his career and Harris was so loud that it almost made it impossible for him to even focus.

While leaving might not have been the right move, it doesn’t look as bad as it initially appeared. It just wasn’t a good night for Newton and even his press conference after the game was intercepted.
