After Daniel Bryan made the announcement that he was retiring, Roman Reigns had something to say.

Monday brought us the announcement that we as professional wrestling fans were all dreading for quite some time now, that being Daniel Bryan will be retiring from WWE. After all of the medical issues that he has incurred throughout his career, his body simply cannot take anymore and now it’s time to hang up the boots.

With this announcement dropping on Monday, of course there are a lot of responses coming on Twitter from the fans. However, more importantly, there are responses coming from his peers within WWE as well. Some of these peers and their reaction to the Bryan announcement hold a little more weight than others.

You know, like a response from the top guy in the company right now —  Roman Reigns.

As you’ll remember, Reigns was one of the people caught in the middle of the battle between WWE booking and Bryan. Last year when Reigns controversially won the Royal Rumble, everyone in the building that night in Philadelphia wanted Bryan to get the nod and he ultimately didn’t. The next month at Fastlane, the two got in the ring together in a No. 1 contender’s match for WrestleMania, a match in which Bryan did all he could to get the new star of the company over.

Reigns got a lot of help from Bryan on that night and this was a nice gesture on his part in the wake of the announcement.
