Five teams the Sacramento Kings could trade Rajon Rondo to.

Rajon Rondo is a point guard savant in the National Basketball Association. While he is incredibly difficult to get along with, his basketball IQ is off the charts and few, if any, point guards in the NBA love to distribute the basketball more than the starting point guard for the Sacramento Kings.

Though Rondo has had a good working relationship with often-frustrated All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins (maybe it’s a Kentucky thing?), Rondo does play for one of the most dysfunctional teams in the NBA in 2016 in the Kings.

The Kings were contending for a seventh or eighth seed in the Western Conference, even with a sub-.500 record, until only weeks ago. Sacramento can’t seem to get out of its own way and while the organization will do anything and everything to make its All-Star big man Cousins happy, maybe the Kings do need to consider moving one of their more intriguing assets in either Rondo or small forward Rudy Gay?

Rondo was a part of the Big Four era with the Boston Celtics that saw the franchise win its 17th NBA championship under then head coach Doc Rivers in the 2007-08 NBA season. At times, Rondo was the best player on that era of the Celtics and could perhaps re-ignite for another team if put in the right situation. Here are five teams that the Kings could end up orchestrating a trade with involving their starting point guard Rondo.
