According to a report, the Dallas Cowboys have Florida State cornerback Jalen Ramsey at the top of their draft board.

The NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis drawing near and teams will begin moving players up and down their draft boards multiple times. The Dallas Cowboys reportedly already have their sights set on one name at the top of their board.

According to NFL Draft Insider Tony Pauline, Florida State Seminoles defensive back Jalen Ramsey is currently atop the Cowboys’ draft board. Ramsey is seen by many as the top defensive back on the board and he’s as talented as they come.

He’s a big cornerback and he’s also not afraid to get physical either. What makes Ramsey so special is that he can play multiple parts of the field and has tremendous versatility. He can either roam and pick off passes or he can effectively shut down one side of the field and follow the best wide receivers.

The Cowboys are a team that could use a top-flight cornerback and another big time player in the secondary.

The team invested their first-round pick last year in Byron Jones and investing another top pick in what many see as the top defensive back on the board, could give the Cowboys a head start on building a great secondary.

After being without quarterback Tony Romo for much of the season and dealing with a variety of injuries to the roster, the Cowboys will be picking No. 4 and will be in a good spot to select Ramsey. While they will have their pick of some great players, there’s not a better option at this moment for the Cowboys than Ramsey.
