What Sprint Cup races are in the chase?
What Sprint Cup races will be in the chase in 2016?
There’s nothing quite like NASCAR Sprint Cup racing during the chase. With the best drivers in NASCAR competing for a championship and plenty to lose on the line, there’s a lot of intensity at high speeds and blood spills over all in the name of glory.
Last year, it was Kyle Busch who claimed his first Sprint Cup Championship after staving off elimination in some rounds and eventually capturing the title at Homestead. While Busch won the championship, it was overshadowed by legendary driver Jeff Gordon competing in the final race of his career. Gordon fell just short of a championship, but he put together a great race to cap off a great career.
There were also moments in the chase that showed that not all is friendly out on the track. Joey Logano and Matt Kenseth both wrecked each other in different races and effectively ended the seasons of the other. Kenseth would be suspended and Logano would have to watch his championship dreams fly by.
The same races will be a part of the chase in 2016, including Talladega, Phoenix, Dover and many others that will lead up to Homestead. Here’s a list of the races that will be in the chase this season.
