Matt Forte is a free-agent, and these three teams should go after him.

On Friday, Matt Forte released a statement on social media to let folks know that the Chicago Bears were no longer interested in his services. While Forte remains one of the most consistently productive players in the National Football League, the Bears are trying to get younger under second-year general manager Ryan Pace.

In Chicago, Forte has been one of the best players to ever suit up for the storied franchise. After being drafted in the second round in the 2008 NFL Draft out of Tulane University, Forte proceeded to compile 8,602 rushing yards and 45 rushing touchdowns. He also added 4,116 receiving yards on 487 receptions and an additional 19 touchdowns. All told, he had a more productive career than Gale Sayers.

Now, Forte will be hitting free agency for the first time at the age of 30. For anybody who knows a thing or two about the NFL, that is typically the time when running backs fall off a cliff and are fitted for a nice rocking chair. However, Forte has no intentions of walking away just yet.

While Forte is certainly on the back end of his terrific career, he can still be quite useful. Here are three teams that should be looking into the veteran back.
