Like most NBA teams, the Washington Wizards do an immense amount of charity work to help make the lives of people who are going through tough times a bit brighter in any way they can. On Friday night, Washington did so once again by giving 10-year old Nick Colucia, who is battling kidney cancer, a night he won’t ever forget.

It started with giving Colucia a tour around the facilities and a meeting with Wizards players, announcers and owner Ted Leonsis before the game.

As if that wasn’t cool enough, the Wizards then gave Nick an even bigger thrill by introducing him with the starting lineup for the night.

The entire gesture by the Wizards is great and seeing how into things each member of the organization is, is really cool. Bradley Beal has so much enthusiasm as he greats Nick at the end of the line that you cannot help but smile.

While their struggles on the court this season were unexpected it feels safe to say that the Wizards almost never lose when it comes to off-the-court charity work.
