WWE Fastlane 2016 results: Charlotte vs Brie Bella video highlights

Full highlights and results from Charlotte vs Brie Bella for the Divas Championship at WWE Fastlane 2016

Charlotte has slowly slipped into being one of the dastardliest Divas in the history of WWE since winning the Divas Championship. However, Brie Bella couldn’t stand for what the daughter of Ric Flair had been doing since taking the belt. This all led to their match for the title on Sunday at WWE Fastlane 2016.

The match started off with Charlotte and Brie really jockeying for control of the match. Brie looked like she might get some offense early, but Charlotte used her power to take over early. She delivered some strong submissions coupled with strikes to take down the challenger early.

Brie fought back a bit and sent Charlotte flying with an armdrag, then proceeding to mock Ric Flair in the process with a WOO! and the patented Flair strut. When Brie started going for the Daniel Bryan kicks, though, Charlotte countered and sent the Bella Twin flying hard to the floor:

Charlotte was then firmly in control and looking like she’d obviously retain the title. However, Brie started grasping at straws and even went for the YES! Lock:

Brie eventually got a sleeper hold locked in that looked as if it might be wearing down the champ. Unfortunately, the champ also knows desperation and stood up to drop Brie on her back and break the hold.

Queen Flair then took control again, slamming Brie’s head into the mat while having her in a choke using her legs. But the Bella Twin wouldn’t be denied as she was able to hit a running knee and even the odds yet again. However, Charlotte got angry and threw the challenger to the ground, but Brie wouldn’t be denied as she kicked Charlotte out of doing the Figure Eight and then dropkicked her off the apron onto the floor. She then threw the champ back into the ring and hit a huge Missile Dropkick:

After gaining control, the two then battled for control again, which resulted in Brie getting the YES! Lock in and then transitioning into a single-leg half crab. However, Charlotte kicked Brie off after her leg gave out and locked in the Figure Eight:

Brie tapped out and Charlotte retained her Divas Championship.
