When you are up big late in the game in the NBA things get pretty fun. Backups get into the game, starters get to play the role of bench cheerleaders and the focus doesn’t always have to be 100 percent on the floor. With the Detroit Pistons up big on the Toronto Raptors in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s contest, Pistons’ star Andre Drummond took advantage of the opportunity to relax by making a new friend.

What a cool moment. First of all that kid probably won’t realize just how lucky he was for a few years, but Drummond did something that he will never forget. To bring a young fan down onto a bench and have conversations with him is just a great thing for Drummond to do and he and Reggie Jackson seem to be having fun with the entire moment. While we probably won’t ever get to hear what the kid said to make Jackson laugh so hard, seeing the two players so engaged in making a young fan have an unforgettable experience is really cool. Good on you, Andre.
