Donatas Montiejunas is on the Houston Rockets, but if it wasn’t for a voided trade he might be up north with the Detroit Pistons. After he dropped this dime against the Milwaukee Bucks there’s reason to believe that the Pistons are regretting voiding that trade right about now.
Such a gorgeous play. Harden draws in the double team, and without even dribbling once, Montiejunas just takes it behind his back and throws it to Jason Terry for a wide open corner 3-pointer. Terry hits the shot, and Montiejunas is awarded dime of the season.
There’s arguably been some better passes this year, but none have been as fluid as this one was. Not only was it flashy, but it fit right into the play that Houston was running perfectly. Props to Montiejunas for adding some flash to an otherwise basic move. Somewhere, in the cold depths of Detroit, Stan Van Gundy sips on a Diet Pepsi of regret.
