Nick Saban and his team visited the White House and President Obama for the fourth time in the last seven seasons.

For the Alabama Crimson Tide, it’s almost becoming a yearly tradition: win the national championship in football and then visit with President Barack Obama at the White House. The ritual took place again on Wednesday, as the Commander-In-Chief welcomed the now 16 time national champions to the nation’s capital.

The President knew how to get things started on the right foot when he took the stage:

The Alabama Crimson Tide were honored after a hard fought 45-40 win over the Clemson Tigers in the 2016 College Football Playoff national title game this January in Glendale, AZ. The President got some more swag from the team and was quick to point out that since he took office, the Crimson Tide have been quite successful:

Of course, head coach Nick Saban took the podium and looked pretty comfortable in the spot of standing behind the seal of the President…which may have some fans wondering if he has a future in politics:

The most recent trip by the Alabama Crimson Tide marks the first time that a President has been visited by four FBS college football teams from the same school during their administration. Alabama will open their defense of the latest national championship on September 3rd when they travel back to Arlington, Texas to take on Southern Cal.
