Damian Lillard does not like the comparisons that inevitably happen between his game and that of reigning MVP Stephen Curry. Thanks to both players’ penchant for shooting off the dribble and ability to get hot from behind the arc in a hurry though, that comparison is so easy that it will happen fairly often during Lillard’s career no matter how much it angers Lillard.

Of course doing things like hitting shots from areas that only Curry has dared to shoot from before won’t help Lillard. On Wednesday night against the Boston Celtics, Lillard did just that by hitting a shot from the Celtics mid-court logo.

This disappointing part of the shot was that it didn’t count as the Celtics were fouling Ed Davis away from the ball but Lillard’s shot is nonetheless impressive. And sadly for him will just bring the Curry comparisons back for a few hours.
