With the college basketball season inching closer and closer to the NCAA tournament, all eyes will be on the NBA’s stars of the future in March. Players will be under the microscope, for better or for worse. The postseason can make or break the stock of prospects in the eyes of many. Fair or unfair, there isn’t any other set of games that include the level of competition that players will face in the NCAA tournament. Players will rise, players will fall, and teams will see their draft positions change over the course of the next few months leading up until draft day.

With all that in mind, this will be the first installment of a weekly first-round NBA Mock Draft. The draft position of teams will constantly change each week while the NBA season still moves on, even as the college basketball season comes to a close. Despite being weekly, the Mock Draft will change quite a bit with performances from players changing their stock and different players fitting different needs for certain teams.

This year’s draft is intriguing because there is no clear-cut number one. Last year by this time, it was pretty obvious that Karl-Anthony Towns would be the first name called on Draft Night. The debate between a few players at the top still rages on daily, while the rest of the draft is full of interesting players that teams will be taking a chance on.
