The Heat were looking to get one a fast break, but Dwyane Wade was more concerned with tying his shoe

The Miami Heat jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night, scoring the first five points of the game. As such, the Heat were then looking to give themselves a big cushion to play with for the rest of the game. Of course, that tends to work a lot better when everyone on the floor is on the same page and not completely oblivious to what’s going on around them.

After a missed shot from the Suns, Amar’e Stoudemire pulled down a rebound and looked to hit an outlet to Luol Deng. However, Deng wasn’t looking, but that shouldn’t have been a problem with Dwyane Wade standing right beside him. However, Wade was also not paying attention as he was bent down tying his shoe. All of this resulted in two separate deflections and a Heat turnover:

That is definitely not ideal NBA basketball. Actually, that’s not ideal basketball at any level. You really want all five guys on the floor to be paying attention at all times, so having two guys both completely unaware of what’s going is a really bad look.

However, it’s still early in the game and the Suns have been pretty terrible as of late. Though this is a bad look for the Heat, they should pretty easily recover.
