Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh has drawn the ire of other coaches for practicing at Florida, but Butch Jones should’ve never gotten involved
Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh has been at the butt of the joke for the past week regarding his team’s practices at a Florida high school over the past couple of weeks. The criticism all began when new Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart implied that the practices, which are open to high school coaches, were in violation of NCAA rules.
Harbaugh quickly squashed that beef with Smart, though, saying that the Georgia coach was “barking up the wrong tree.” Things have escalated from there, though, as other coaches from around college football have been making jokes all week. Arkansas Razorbacks head coach Bret Bielema started it by jokingly implying that he would be making a visit to one of Harbaugh and Michigan’s open practices at IMG Academy in Florida:
After early meetings & lift tomorrow with our players. Thinking about heading to watch an open practice tomorrow at IMG with the staff. #WPS

That was followed up when rival Michigan State Spartans head coach Mark Dantonio responded to Bielema by again joking that the two should do lunch, as he too would be stopping by the Jim Harbaugh spectacular at the Florida high school:

However, it was when Tennessee Volunteers head coach Butch Jones got involved that Harbaugh finally felt compelled to ether everyone involved. Jones tried to get in with Dantonio and Bielema by asking if he could join their lunch:
Harbaugh had seen enough at that point, though, as he then took to his own Twitter for the ultimate troll of both Jones and Tennessee:
Suggestion to my Rocky Top colleague, rather than lunch in Florida you might spend your time and focus attending to your present team.

When all else fails, go right for the win-loss record.
The antics of Jim Harbaugh are truly legendary and this is certainly just another instance of that. College coaches should really catch up on The Wire if they’re going to take shots at Harbaugh: If you come at the king, you best not miss.
