Spurs’ Patty Mills hits LaMarcus Aldridge with perfect alley-oop (Video)

Patty Mills and LaMarcus Aldridge combined for this pretty sweet play on Thursday against the Pelicans.

Sometimes it’s just beautiful to watch the San Antonio Spurs play the sport of basketball. Of course, having made the postseason for 19 straight seasons now, it seems they’re never going to be not fun to watch, especially when they’re clicking on all cylinders. We got another example of this on Thursday night from Patty Mills and LaMarcus Aldridge.

The Spurs are on the road Thursday night taking on the New Orleans Pelicans, and in the first quarter of this contest, Mills and Aldridge combined for one of the prettiest plays that you will see all night.

Mills received the ball in transition heading down the other end, but instead of going to the hoop, he had the instincts to find Aldridge coming down the lane virtually uncovered, who finished off the play in style.

When this Spurs team is in sync, there are just few that are better in the game of basketball. This is why throughout the years under the watch of Gregg Popovich, they’ve been so successful.

This is also why they spent the money to get Aldridge in free agency as well.
