Tottenham missed a huge opportunity while Arsenal saved their season.

Early in the second half, Francis Coquelin made a tackle on Harry Kane, earning him his second yellow card and forcing Arsenal to play with 10 men for over half an hour. Tottenham took their chance scoring two goals in two minutes and for only 15 minutes, it seemed the Spurs were headed to three points and the top of the league.

After Harry Kane scored an absolutely brilliant goal, the Spurs went up 2-1 in the 62nd minute. It seemed as if Tottenham could sit back, defend and leave the derby with the three points. But a moment of brilliance from Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez earned Arsenal a point and keeps them in the race for the Premier League title.

After Sanchez’ goal in the 76th minute, both teams had a chance to take the lead back, but neither team took their opportunity. Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey, who scored the games first goal, briefly had a one on one chance versus Lloris, but great defending from Kevin Wimmer pushed the ball over the bar and both teams went home with one point.

Leicester was the biggest beneficiary from the result today, as they could go five points clear later on today against Watford.

This Premier League season has been filled with many opportunities for teams to grab control of the league, but no team has taken their chances. Leicester has a chance today to inch closer to their ultimate goal of winning the league and shocking the football world.
