Here are the updated NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Chase standings after the 2016 Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

While the Kobalt 400 wasn’t the green-flat racing affair that was had at Atlanta Motor Speedway last Sunday, it was a pretty clean race overall this year. In fact, what really hampered this year’s race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, was the elements.

Before the race could even begin, it was delayed 25 minutes because of rain and gusts of wind that reached 50 mph. The rain went away, but the wind stayed and it created obstacles for drivers that they had to deal with all day on the track.

Debris was constantly blowing on the track, which led to cautions and strategy changes to the way that drivers decided to drive. Some plastic on the track even got on the grills of the cars and it caused water temperatures to rise for some drivers.

Kurt Busch started the day on the pole, but it was a speeding penalty on pit road that knocked him out of the lead early, which led to Jimmie Johnson taking a commanding lead in the middle of the race. Late in the race, teammates Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski would dominate the first two spots, until Kyle Busch made a huge pass to take the lead with 40 laps left.

Kyle Busch couldn’t hold the lead as his car began to vibrate and Keselowski would come back to take the lead against him. With Keselowski earning a spot in the Chase, here are the updated Chase standings.
