According to a report, the Oakland Raiders could be a place to watch for free agent cornerback Janoris Jenkins.

The Oakland Raiders are one of those teams that will have plenty of money to spend in free agency and on Wednesday, when teams are officially allowed to sign free agents, the Raiders could be adding some big pieces to a growing crop of tremendous young talent.

On Tuesday night, Adam Schefter reported that the team was expected to bring in pass rusher Bruce Irvin from the Seattle Seahawks to add to their growing list of pass rushers. Now, they could be looking at another talented, physical player from the NFC West.

According to Bill Williamson, former Rams cornerback Janoris Jenkins could be on the Raiders’ radar, as they look to continue to improve their secondary.

Jenkins is expected to leave the Rams and get a huge offer from a team in free agency, after the Rams decided to tag cornerback Trumaine Johnson instead. Jenkins is a physical cornerback and has become one of the better defensive backs over the last few years.

He’s likely going to command a very high price tag from teams, but the Raiders are one of those teams that can afford to pay him the money that he would want on a contract. This could be the year that the Raiders finally break through and make the playoffs. Adding a physical player like Jenkins could go a long way in helping them achieve their goal.
