Good Sam 500 2016: Official results from Phoenix

Here are the official results from the 2016 Good Sam 500 at Phoenix International Raceway on Sunday.

On Sunday, it was another wild day in the desert, as the drivers of NASCAR braved the sun in the 2016 Good Sam 500 at Phoenix International Raceway. Like most races at Phoenix, the sun played a major factor and that meant that there were multiple cautions because of tire issues.

There were also obstacles with pit road penalties and two of the best drivers in NASCAR had their issues with crew members losing control of tires or overshooting a pit road stall. Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin would both have to work hard to overcome the issues that they that had with their respective Joe Gibbs Racing teams.

However, just as it always seems to be the case with Phoenix, it was the usual suspects hanging out at the front.

Kevin Harvick toward the middle of the race quickly took command of things as many people expected him too. It seemed as with each passing lap, Harvick really extended his lead and Carl Edwards tried to do his best to keep pace with him on the track.

On the very last lap, Harvick and Edwards battled each other to a thrilling photo finish that saw Harvick come out on top.
