Meltdown Tuesday: Colin Kaepernick and Mark Sanchez? Really?

The sports world has gone insane, valuing players like Mark Sanchez and Colin Kaepernick.

We all know that in the National Football League, you need a good starter at the quarterback position to win. Without one, you are the Cleveland Browns, or something close to them.

However, we might have gone a bit too far. San Francisco 49ers backup Colin Kaepernick – who is coming off three surgeries and was benched for the immortal Blaine Gabbert – is demanding a trade. Really? It’s like being the guy who shows up late to work every other day and demanding that the boss doubles your salary.

Then there is Mark Sanchez, who has personally done nothing wrong but is a walking disaster on the field. The Denver Broncos understandably traded for Sanchez, knowing that it’s basically him or the dude running the local 7-Eleven at this point. However, Sanchez has been in the league for seven years and has tossed only two more touchdowns than interceptions, in a game that has been legislating defense out for 15 years.

Sanchez and Kaepernick are some kind of terrible.

On another note, we see March Madness starting up. If there is one thing we can all agree on, it’s college basketball deserving to be front and center with the best 68 teams in the country getting after it.

Of course, there are some whiners from big conferences, stating they should be in the tourney. Look, if you are a bubble team in a power conference and didn’t get in, shutup. Nobody wants to hear it. Maybe you should not have lost to Santa Clara State, at home, by 25 … twice. You had your chances, now can it and grab a seat on the couch next to us.
