This has been a lost season for the Phoenix Suns. Injuries and an apparent general state of antipathy have taken them from a fun, fringe Western Conference playoff team to one of the bottom feeders of the NBA.  On this night, though, they were not to be denied.
Locked in a 104-all tie with the Minnesota Timberwolves Monday night, the lowly Suns needed a hero. It wasn’t the hero they expected, but it turned out to be the hero they sorely needed right now. Let’s go to the film (via @NBATV):
Mirza! There’s no way an off-the-bounce Mirza Teletovic fadeaway three-ball is what Earl Watson drew up in the timeout before this play, but, hey, whatever works!
