Monta Ellis just did one of those plays that happens maybe five time’s an entire season. While trying to run a play the Indiana Pacers lost the ball and there was a scrum for it between them and the Boston Celtics. Indiana desperately had to get a shot off so they threw it into the back court to Ellis. He threw up the shot with no real intent other than maybe hitting rim and well let the video speak for itself.

This happens so many times on a nightly basis across the NBA, but so rarely is the shot actually made. Usually it just bounces off the rim or misses it completely leading to a shot clock violation. Props to Ellis for doing what few players are able to do.
