Victor Oladipo doesn’t always showcase his jumping ability. He’s a pretty athletic dude that does have the skill to get up there, but he’s more prone to playing below the rim and only using his athleticism when it’s necessary. Bring in Will Barton attempting to throw down a poster dunk, and that’s when Oladipo showed just how high he can climb.

Barton thought he had a nice easy highlight here. He probably even thought he had a poster once Oladipo came running over, but Dipo got to the ball and rejected Barton harder than the judges rejected Barton’s dunk contest. Poor Thrill. He really is a fun player, but all that everybody sees him doing these days is getting his dunks rejected by the rim and/or other people. Will someone give this poor man an easy dunk!?

The Dipo block is even more impressive when you consider that he actually jumped too early. By the time that Barton reaches the rim Oladipo has already soared by it, but his arms are so long he’s able to extend out and get a piece of the ball to send the other direction. An incredible play from one of the NBA’s future stars.
