73.
This is the first of several first round picks the Nuggets will have in this year’s draft. Denver is a team that is already loaded with young talent, meaning that there might not be minutes available right away. They have interesting prospects at just about every position, so there isn’t a clear need for them either.

Korkmaz is just 18 years old, so he might not even be playing in the states right away. That would be fine with a team like the Nuggets, however, given their situation on the wing with Gary Harris, Wilson Chandler, and Danilo Gallinari all deserving of big minutes. Korkmaz can take another year or two to develop his skills before he comes over to the NBA.

When he does decide to play here, Korkmaz has the potential to be the “3-and-D” wing that NBA teams covet. He is an elite three point shooter and has the length and instincts on D to guard multiple positions. He can improve his playmaking, but he has shown flashes of an off the bounce game that sets up his teammates and creates in the half court. He is sneaky athletic as well, just another reason teams will be tempted to take him this high.
. SG. Anadolu Efes. Furkan Korkmaz. 9. player
