It’s time for Peyton Manning and Adam LaRoche to go home and never come back.
We all get it, Peyton. We all understand that you were great, and that we are all going to miss you very much. Look, Manning was a great player and he deserves to have his No. 18 retired but a statue outside the stadium?
If Manning is going to get a statue outside of Lucas Oil Stadium, then Brad Johnson should have one outside of Raymond James Stadium. Hell, Jim Plunkett should have two outside of O.co Coliseum while the fine folks of Baltimore erect a statue for Trent Dilfer.
Meanwhile, we have the Adam LaRoche standoff with the Chicago White Sox. As it turns out, general manager Kenny Williams agreed in the contract to allow LaRoche’s teenage son, Drake, be in the locker room. However, does LaRoche really need to put the kid in the clubhouse all day, every day. Send the kid to school like an actual adult.
The White Sox have handled the situation poorly, but LaRoche is actiung like a spoiled brat. So much for Chicago getting back on the proverbial horse and winning the AL Central this year. Nothing like a massive distraction in March to get the six-month party to 75-87 started.
