Dwight Howard and the Rockets were caught putting stick-em on the ball by the refs on Saturday
The Houston Rockets and Dwight Howard have largely been a punch-line around the NBA in the 2015-16 season and deservedly so as they’ve largely been a caricature of what they were last year as they’ve been struggling to stay relevant in regards to the playoff picture. If you don’t think that’s the case, then what happened on Saturday night against the Atlanta Hawks might just change your mind.
As the Rockets were trying to get ahead in a tough matchup against the Hawks, they took the ball during a timeout and were seen spraying it with something on a sideline. As it turns out, they were spraying the ball with stick-em to help Dwight Howard get a better grip on the ball. This is obviously not within the rules and the refs busted Howard and the Rockets for trying to get a leg up:

This is simply the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard. Also, good luck trying not to imagine Dwight Howard as Rasheed “Hot Hands” Hanon from the movie Little Giants from here on out:

In all seriousness, this is seriously one of the most ridiculous things we’re going to see in an NBA game this year, so of course it would involve the Rockets doing something stupid. Hopefully they can hang on to their playoff spot, even if they can’t use stick-em on it.
