No. 1 New York Jets

The New York Jets are ultimately the best fit for Ryan Fitzpatrick. The team runs a scheme that Fitzpatrick knows very well. Moreover, the players know what Fitzpatrick expects them to do and they already know how solid of a player that he can be.

By resigning with New York, Fitzpatrick also comes back to a great set of weapons. Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker were a great receiver tandem for the Harvard-educated quarterback.

While the team did fall just short of making the playoffs with Fitzpatrick under center, in year two the New York Jets could easily be a team that makes an extended playoff run. The Jets have a great defense and an emerging offense. Honestly, if Fitzpatrick had not self-destructed in the final weeks of the regular season, the Jets would have made the playoffs.

By re-signing Fitzpatrick, the New York Jets are able to be in contender mode while still acquiring talent. Signing Ryan Fitzpatrick seems like an easy win-win move for both sides.
