The Philadelphia 76ers are mired in their third straight (intentional) horrendous season. They’ve won just nine games all year, are 1-9 in their last 10 and had lost six in a row coming into tonight’s tilt in Denver. For a moment, though, it looked as though the plucky Sixers – playing without both Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor – were on the brink of their 10th win of the season. Hallelujah!

Until, of course, the most Sixers of things happened. Let’s go to the tape (via @NBATV):

I mean, what is there to say? Would that go in against any other team? Emmanuel Mudiay lost his dribble, picked the ball up and flipped a shot toward the rim as he was off-balance and going to his left about .01 seconds before the buzzer sounds. And he nailed it. Because Sixers.

Those poor, poor 76ers.
