Unlike unicorns and leprechauns and a fully functioning version of the Sacramento Kings, NBA superstar group text message threads absolutely exist.

Howard Beck of Bleacher Report confirmed as much during his extensive dive into the relationship between Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James. There is a lot—and I mean a lot—to takeaway from that piece, but one of the many included anecdotes verifies the existence of a perpetual group chat between LeBron, Melo, Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade:

"There is no closer quartet of stars in the NBA than these four. “The Brotherhood,” they call it. They attended each other’s weddings. They watch each other’s games regularly. They text constantly, in an ongoing four-way chat session. (And occasionally, they go cruising on a banana boat.)"

Oh, to be a nosy friend or acquaintance who has the ability to rifle through the primary phones of these four. Seriously, people (me) would pay good money for the contents of those text messages.

This Bro Pack, after all, has so much to talk about, from fame and fortune, to family life and careers, to future free agencies and Melo’s extra-wide headbands, to championship rings and LeBron’s subtweets, to D-Wade’s fashion sense and DeAndre Jordan’s free-throw shooting, to summer vacations and banana boat excursions, and everything in between.

And in the spirit of such brotherhood, here’s a sample conversation:

"CP3: Yo, sign 1+1s this summer and hit FA wit me in 2017.Wade: okLeBron: DuhMelo: ?"

Totally believable, right?
