The Miami Dolphins haven’t ruled out signing Arian Foster to fill out their backfield.

This offseason has been one of massive change for the Miami Dolphins, as they have a new head coach but stripped themselves of most of their talent. Vernon Oliver, Lamar Miller and Richard Matthews all bolted to new teams this offseason and Adam Gase is sort of left waiting for the dust to settle.

One unsettled position on the Dolphins depth chart is at running back, where there is a massive hole that needs to be filled. Miami tried to fill that with C.J. Anderson but the Denver Broncos shockingly matched the offer sheet Miami extended. Chris Johnson was brought in and there has been discussion about maybe drafting a running back of the future.

While drafting a running back isn’t out of the question — especially with Ezekiel Elliott expected to be a mid-first round pick — there are still options on the table.

According to Armando Salguero, the Dolphins still haven’t ruled out Arian Foster as a possibility.

The Broncos have been linked to Foster thanks to Gary Kubiak being the head coach in Denver. That doesn’t mean the Broncos will sign Foster but there’s a mild market for him consisting of teams that make sense as destinations. Miami needs a running back more than the Broncos do and while Foster doesn’t have all the air in the tires that he used to, you could do worse if you’re Miami.
