It’s hard to believe that Kyle Lowry was taken 24th out of Villanova in the NBA draft all the way back in 2006. He’s been in the NBA for a full decade, but it wasn’t until he joined the Toronto Raptors that Lowry broke out and became a star. He’s worked hard throughout his NBA career to achieve this level as a player, but he never did forget his college roots.

Lowry’s trying to do his job as an NBA player and fulfill media requirements, but at the same time Villanova was making their run at a berth in the Final Four. Now in most cases a player’s job will be more important than a college game, but this is his school playing in one of their biggest games ever. It’s not like he’s avoiding answering the questions either. He’s just multitasking. I think his priorities were in the right place.
