ESPN NBA analyst appears to sleep during live SportsCenter interview (video)

Brian Windhorst, one of ESPN’s most used NBA analysts, seems to have fallen asleep during a live interview on Tuesday’s SportsCenter.

It’s not a surprise that many people who aren’t diehard fans of the NBA have found this season not all that exciting. Sure, you have the great play of Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry and his team’s journey toward a 73 win season, but most observers are just waiting for the playoffs to begin.

The 2015-16 season might also be on the verge of becoming boring for members of the media who cover the league for a living. One such person seems to be ESPN insider Brian Windhorst.

Now settled in Connecticut after over a decade of following LeBron James from Cleveland to Miami and back to Cleveland again, Windhorst has become more of a go-to person when it comes to the network’s flagship show, SportsCenter.

Tuesday, Windhorst showed that he had no time for a discussion with host Cari Champion regarding the MVP chances for Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook. While Champion is asking her question, Windhorst appears to dose off for a few seconds:

Windhorst would take to Twitter later in the day to defend himself and say that he had NOT indeed taken a quick nap between answers:

Since Windhorst has built quite the relationship with arguably the best player in recent basketball history by covering him all the way back to high school, he probably could have started snoring on air and nothing would have happened to him.
