Jimmy Butler has established himself this season as the true superstar the Chicago Bulls need to build around. He’s having a career year, has been their best player, and is the main reason the Bulls find themselves in playoff positioning right now. So of course he’s going to be the guy to take the game winning shot in a tie game as time is winding down.
That was some…well not great defense from the Indiana Pacers. They let Butler get right to the spot he wanted with little resistance, and even through he dribbled into three defenders they all just watched him shoot. It’s pretty clear they were trying to prevent the kick out, but they might have been better off in this situation preventing the shot.
