J.R. Smith’s lob to LeBron James does not go as planned (Video)
Cleveland Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith attempted to throw a lob to LeBron James, but the whole play went bad.
After the Cleveland Cavalier suffered an embarrassing loss to the Brooklyn Nets last week, they were out to prove a point at home against them on Thursday night. The Cavaliers jumped out to a big lead early and the lowly nets clearly were no match for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.
To try and cap the night off and add a little extra emphasis, Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith and LeBron James tried to connect on an alley-oop, but somehow it didn’t end well for James, as he got tangled up with a Nets defender. James would hunch over in a little bit of pain, while Smith tried to figure out exactly where things went wrong.
The good news for anyone holding their breath is that LeBron is fine. It’s a shame that him and Smith weren’t able to connect on the play, because the duo has pulled off some of the most thrilling lobs in the NBA this season.
However, this thing had bad idea written on it from the beginning when James and the defender came rolling in like a train off the tracks.
