Here is one reason every MLB team has a chance to win the World Series.

Leading off the first week of April is opening day of the 2016 Major League Baseball season, and with the launch of the new season hopes spring eternal for many team and its accompanying fan base. Baseball is undergoing an era of vast parity amongst its talent base, with most every team carrying a least a small reason why they should believe that this year could be their year.

But with the optimism that a strong spring training can bring –as well as the reality for others that pre-April results really mean nothing— there are any number of clubs that should look favorably upon their current offering. But October is a long way away and the gauntlet that the 162 game season brings is populated with unforeseen issues, as well as emergent stars. Enough so that what is the reason for early season prognostication can just as easily be made to look ridiculous by the time the season’s path as been traveled.

However, when it all comes down to it, the prediction game is a fun one. So while the sun may be shining brighter on the odds of the Chicago Cubs or Kansas City Royals, it is technically too early to discount the chances of the Philadelphia Phillies or Atlanta Braves too, right?

And with that, here is a look at why each club has a chance to raise the pennant by this fall…
