WWE Rumors: Cesaro returning at WrestleMania 32

Cesaro might be making a surprise return to action on Sunday at WWE WrestleMania 32

The amount of injuries that WWE has been forced to deal with over the past six months has been near unprecedented and it has forced the company’s hand in a number of ways going into WrestleMania 32. Obviously the absence of top guys such as John Cena, Randy Orton, and Daniel Bryan—who was forced to retire—are felt in a major way, but so too are injuries to highly talented guys like Cesaro. However, Cesaro might not be out at WrestleMania 32 after all.

Despite the fact that Cesaro “confirmed” in February that he would be out for WrestleMania, WWE has set his return date for their European tour—April 15 to be exact. However, the Swiss Superman is in Dallas for WrestleMania 32 this weekend and, per a report from Pro Wrestling Sheet, he was photographed not wearing the sling he’s been seen in since undergoing surgery in November.

To make things more interesting, Dave Meltzer noted on the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there are rumblings around Dallas that Cesaro could be a surprise entrant in the third annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32.

If Cesaro is indeed ready to return at WrestleMania 32, the Andre Battle Royal is really the only place that makes sense on the card for him to return. Not only is it the only match that doesn’t require a build for Cesaro to be a part of it, but it also calls upon history as Cesaro was the winner of the first ever Andre Battle Royal at Mania.

We’ll have to wait until Sunday night in Dallas to see if this is all sizzle and no steak regarding Cesaro’s return at WrestleMania 32, but things are certainly taking shape to make it look like a legitimate possibility.
