Dylan Moses has a new No. 1 school in his recruitment following his trip on Saturday

Dylan Moses is one of the more highly touted high school football recruits in the class of 2017, and after Saturday, he has a new favorite as the process goes along. No longer does it look like two powers in the SEC are the favorites to land the services of the five-star outside linebacker.

On Saturday, Moses took a trip to Austin to visit with the Texas Longhorns, and following that visit, Moses announced that they are indeed the new No. 1 on his list, right behind Alabama, LSU and UCLA.

If the name sounds familiar to some, it’s probably due to the fact that it was first in the news a few years ago when he was in junior high school. Both Nick Saban and Les Miles were hot on his trail, which is why they’ve been considered the favorites for so long to ultimately bring him into the SEC.

However, Moses apparently had quite the visit with Charlie Strong and company on Saturday, which is a tremendous sign for the program looking to make its way back to the top of the ranks in the country. If they can land a recruit with the notoriety of Moses, that can go a long way in landing more top-tier talent.

Moses is a 6-2, 220-pound outside linebacker currently enrolled at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida and the No. 2-ranked overall prospect according to Scout.com. He plans to graduate early this December so as to get right on the campus of the school that he does choose in the end.

Will that school be the University of Texas? Right now, it’s looking that way.
