Washington Wizards point guard John Wall voiced his displeasure with his teammates during Friday night’s game.

Not all is well in the nation’s capital on the hardwood, as the Washington Wizards have massively disappointed in the 2015-16 NBA season.

From a No. 5 seed in the 2014-15 Eastern Conference Playoffs and really only a few bounces from playing in the 2015 Eastern Conference finals, the Wizards are two games below .500 entering play Saturday (37-39) and are very likely going to miss the playoffs this spring. Washington is in 10th place and 2.5 games back of the eighth place Indiana Pacers.

Though Washington was able to defeat a terrible Phoenix Suns team Friday, face of the franchiseJohn Wall reportedly checked himself out of the game, making condescending comments towards his Wizards teammates.

According to Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post, Wall said something along the lines of “They don’t know how to play basketball.” This is not what a team needs to hear out of its All-Star point guard.

It’s fair to say that 2015-16 has been a frustrating one for Wall and the Wizards. Shooting guard Bradley Beal can’t stay healthy. The transition to playing small ball in DC has been a huge challenge that might end up costing head coach Randy Wittman his job. General manager Ernie Grunfeld is also probably on the hot seat.

While the Wizards faithful won’t like Wall’s most recent comments about the lackluster play of his teammates, outside of starting forward Marcin Gortat, who else on the Wizards has been a positive piece for them this season? Wall has every right to be frustrated. Expect the 2016-17 Wizards roster to look vastly different that it does in the final weeks of thiseason.
