George Foreman gave Craig Sager a signed pair of gloves and told the broadcaster to fight till the bell as he battles cancer

Former heavyweight champion George Foreman was a guest on the TBS Final Four Show with Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley and Kenny “the Jet” Smith. While on the set, the beloved champion made an amazing gesture after sideline reporter Craig Sager was called over.

Sager was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in 2014 and was later said to be in remission after his son, Craig, Jr. donated bone marrow to help his ailing father. Sadly, in March of 2016 Sager had announced his leukemia had returned.

Foreman’s gesture on the show was to give Sager a signed pair of boxing gloves, and the champ gave Sager some encouragement as well, reminding him that “we fight till the bell rings.” The champ also said he believes Sager has “one more punch left in him.”

The NBA reporter, who is loved for his amazing choice in suits, was told by doctors that he has three-to-six months to live in his latest prognosis. We here at FanSided share the sentiment of Foreman as we wish Sager the best as he continues his courageous fight.
