Highlights and results from the 7-man Intercontinental Championship ladder match at WWE WrestleMania 32

Diving right into this wild and crazy match to kick off the main card of WrestleMania 32, all six challengers for Kevin Owens’ WWE Intercontinental Championship fled the ring to leave the champ alone after the bell. The champ wouldn’t let anyone in the ring, though, but Sami Zayn snuck in and the two rivals traded wicked punches.

A ladder to the back from the outside ended the one-on-one battle and the fast and furious action ensued, including Zack Ryder countering a suplex into a backbreaker on a ladder:

Miz getting pushed off a ladder:

And Kevin Owens sending Sami Zayn back first into a ladder in a big way:

However, Sami recovered and then got a hot run where he hit an insane dive through a ladder to the outside and then his patented through-the-ropes Tornado DDT on the other side of the ring:

There was then a spot with Zack Ryder and Dolph Ziggler both getting pushed off the ladder. Sin Cara soon tried to climb the ladder to grab the belt for himself, but Zayn came back into the ring and pushed the ladder down. But Sin Cara made the save into a springboard dive to the outside to take out the other competitiors:

The high-flying furious action continued and Stardust brought out a polka-dot ladder (a tribute to his father, the late Dusty Rhodes). Then Owens and Zayn got another go at one another that ultimately resulted with Zayn laid out on a ladder, allowing KO to hit a massive Frog Splash with devastating impact:

Soon after, Ryder climbed the ladder, but the ladder was nowhere near the belt. Instead, Long Island Iced dove off the top and hit Miz with a gigantic El-Bro Drop:

Ryder and Ziggler again fought at the top of the ladder only to be knocked down, which allowed Sin Cara to get in there all alone for a second. Owens then came into the ring and knocked the luchador off and through Stardust, who was laid out on a ladder on the outside:

Zayn and Owens then got into a battle atop the ladder. When it went back to the floor, Sami destroyed the champ with a suplex onto the ladder:

But Sami couldn’t fully capitalize as The Miz took him off the ladder. The Miz then climbed and looked as if he was about to win and started gloating. That’s when Zack Ryder came out of nowhere to push Miz off of the ladder and grab the belt for himself:

That’s right, Zack Ryder is your winner and new Intercontinental Champion.
