If Paris Saint-Germain made a Summer inquiry for Barcelona forward Neymar, then the move would be discussed, says agent.

It is accepted across the soccer world that, to prove he is the best player in the world, Neymar will have to leave Barcelona. While few doubt the outstanding quality of the Brazilian, the mere presence of Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi, the complimentary parts to the terrifying trio, limit the reverence that Neymar receives throughout the world. As long as he remains at the Catalan club, he will forever live in Messi’s shadow. This undoubtedly irks Neymar, and has led to some rather significant transfer rumors. His agent has now confirmed such irks, by stating the possibility of a Summer move to Paris Saint-Germain.

This may well be agent speak, but it will peak the interest of the biggest clubs around Europe. If Neymar can be prized away from Barcelona, few would snub their noses at such an opportunity. Speaking to L’Equipe, Neymar’s agent stated:

"“If PSG show an interest in Neymar, we can discuss it.the prospect of living in a city like Paris and to play for a club like PSG – that’s also a dream for every player. We’ll see in two years, when he will be at the end of his contract. A contract can also be terminated provided that the release clause is paid. It’s huge: 193m euros. But I don’t think that would be an insurmountable problem for PSG.”"

Whether Neymar leaves this Summer, the next, or when his contract expires in two years time, there will be a host of clubs fighting for his signature. Right now, it looks as though PSG are the front runners to sign the Brazilian.
