Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. called out defensive end Greg Hardy’s claims about not committing domestic violence.

Just when it looked like the Greg Hardy situation couldn’t get any worse, he came out and made some strong claims about domestic violence. Hardy told Adam Schefter that he never has put his hand on any woman in his entire life and that it is frowned upon to do so.

With plenty of people already disgusted with Hardy as a human being as is, his claims were met with loud groans and people questioning if Hardy really believes the things that he is saying.

One person that didn’t put up with Hardy’s comments was Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. Smith’s mother is a survivor of domestic violence and Smith had some strong comments to say about Hardy’s claims on Twitter.

Smith has always been one of the most respected men in the NFL for his hard work on the field and he’s a player that calls it like he sees it. This is a situation that hits home for him because of his mother and he’s certainly not the only one that is fed up with Hardy.

After Hardy continued to be a problem when he was given a chance by the Dallas Cowboys last season, it’s hard to see any team actually taking a chance on him. His comments are obviously trying to show that he’s a changed man, but at this point, his comments only dig the hole deeper that he has already dug and show a complete lack of accountability on his end.
