Here’s all the information you need to watch the MLB Opening Day matchup between the Chicago White Sox and Oakland Athletics
The Chicago White Sox start their season on the road, as they head to Oakland, California to take on the Oakland A’s on MLB Opening Day!
The Sox have made headlines this offseason for some interesting reasons as first basemen Adam LaRoche abruptly retired after the team asked him to limit the amount of time his son spent in the team clubhouse.
One of the more vocal supporters of the recently departed LaRoche will take the mound as the lefty Chris Sale will be the opening day starter for Chicago. Sale was 13-11 last season while owning an ERA of 3.41. He set a franchise record with 274 strikeouts last season and the team puts a lot of hope for a successful season on his shoulders.
Oakland will counter Sale with Sonny Gray, the right-hander who went 14-7 last year with a 2.73 ERA. The 5-foot-10 pitcher threw two shutouts for Oakland last season and struck out 169 batters.
