WWE RAW results, April 4, 2016: Live tracker

Following the live results from the post-WrestleMania 32 WWE RAW on April 4, 2016 from Dallas

One day removed from WrestleMania 32 taking place in front of a record-breaking crowd in Dallas, TX on Sunday night, WWE RAW will take the stage in Dallas at the American Airlines Center for the post-WrestleMania 32 RAW. The RAW after Mania is traditionally one of the most exciting and shocking nights in all of wrestling and this year promises to be no different.

With Roman Reigns finally overtaking the big bad of The Authority in Triple H to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, the question is now what’s next for Reigns. Is he going to have to withstand another onslaught from The Game or will a new challenger emerge? WWE RAW will certainly have the answer to that.

Moreover, there are many questions regarding what’s going to happen with WWE RAW as a whole moving forward. Though Shane McMahon lost and failed to win control, it seems as though The Authority and Vince McMahon may very well be out of power now that Triple H no longer has the title and with how The Undertaker reacted after defeated Shane. There’s certainly more to come from that.

In addition to those two storylines, the new Women’s Championship is now in the mix as Charlotte won the Women’s triple threat and will now look to her next challenger for the newly minted belt.

However, the WWE RAW after WrestleMania is always about the surprises in terms of debuts, returns, and shocking twists. Though we don’t know what those will be, there are certainly some to come on Monday night in Dallas.

Considering all of that, this episode of WWE RAW is one you don’t want to miss a single second of and you can keep up with the April 4 episode of WWE RAW below once the show gets started at 8 p.m. ET. Be a part of the discussion, as well, in the comments.

Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon, Etc.

Vince McMahon was out first to open up WWE RAW from Dallas the night after WrestleMania 32. He thanked everyone for being there and said that no one would ever have anything to hold over him ever again. However, Vince also said that he was touched by Shane McMahon diving off of Hell in a Cell.

Right after Vince promised a RAW that fans would never forget and started to leave—but Shane O Mac’s music hit and he cut him off. He was simply out to shake Vince’s hand and concede and also to thank the fans.

Sadly, Shane then said thanks again and then said goodbye, but Vince returned the favor and stopped him. To prove his point (his words) that Shane running RAW would be crazy, he put RAW in Shane O Mac’s control in Dallas.

Tag Team Title Match: New Day (Big E & Kofi) vs League of Nations (King Barrett & Sheamus)

The New Day was out first for their typical promo as they recapped the night, highlighted by Xavier Woods saying receiving a Stone Cold Stunner was probably his fault and that it was LIT!

League of Nations was then out and the match began. The challengers got the upper hand in the match early on, but it was short-lived once Big E got involved and gave Kofi a little boost.

Sheamus got into the match, though, and methodically tried to use his power to break Kingston down. However, his heelish behaviors caught up with him as Kofi hit a Lungblower and was able to get Big E with the hot tag. E came in and wrecked an also recently tagged King Barrett right away.

Barrett tried to get some counters in, but it wasn’t enough as Kofi was able to pick up the win to retain the tag titles.

Winner: The New Day

After the match, though, Sheamus cut a promo about how League of Nations needed to be respected, but that they were only as strong as their weakest link and needed to eradicate that weak link. That’s when Sheamus hit the Brogue Kick on Barrett and dispatched him from the ring.

Shockingly, the lights then went out and The Wyatt family appeared to jump the League of Nations. They cleared the ring of Rusev and Alberto Del Rio before Bray ended it all by hitting Sister Abigail on Sheamus. Wyatt face turn? I like it!

Back from commercial break, Vince McMahon was interviewed while leaving the arena, saying he wasn’t confident in Shane and had to get out so he didn’t have to witness it.

Summer Rae vs Sasha Banks

Summer Rae started in the ring trying to run down Sasha Banks by saying that she “wasted” her WrestleMania moment. Sasha quickly came out, told Summer she was still The Boss and then slapped Summer hard before the bell rang.

The match then began with Summer fleeing the outside then sending Banks’ head off the ropes to get the advantage early. As she got overconfident, though, Sasha got pissed and it wasn’t long before she threw Summer around, locked in the Banks Statement, and got the win.

Winner: Sasha Banks

Tyler Breeze vs Apollo Crews (!!!)

Apollo Crews showed off his power and quickness to start his debut match.

But Tyler Breeze began to get a brief bit of offense in the mix. That was short lived, though, when he went off the ropes after claiming “this was about him,” Crews caught him with a nasty enzuigiri. He then hit his Gorilla Press Slam into the Standing Moonsault.

That set up Breeze for the Spin-Out Powerbomb that was good enough to get Crews the three-count and win in his debut.

Winner: Apollo Crews

Roman Reigns Gets Booed

Roman came out for the first time since winning the title. He came out to raucous boos and said that he wasn’t a bad guy, wasn’t a good guy, but is instead The Guy. He then said he’d kick anyone’s a** that wanted to come and try and take the belt from him. That called out Chris Jericho.

Jericho continued to be a great heel saying that after all he’s done over his career and after beating AJ Styles, he deserved to be at the front of the line for the title. However, that only called out Styles, Kevin Owens, and then Sami Zayn—all of whom looking for Roman’s title.

Zayn and Owens then started going at one another, which prompted Styles and Jericho to do the same. Sami threw KO to the outside then dove out to take him out again. Jericho then threw AJ over the top rope and gloated. When he turned around, though, Reigns was there waiting with a huge Spear.

The champ stood tall.

After the break, Shane O Mac caught Roman in the back to tell him that he’d be interested in the main event as it’d be a Fatal 4-Way No. 1 Contender match between Jericho, Styles, Zayn, and Owens. Yes please.

Baron Corbin vs Dolph Ziggler

Before Ziggler came down, Corbin cut a quick promo saying that he didn’t care if everyone didn’t know who he is—that the Andre Battle Royal trophy was all that mattered and that it’d be the end of days for anyone who tried to stop him.

The call-up from NXT showed off his impressive power and the size advantage he has over Dolph. However, Dolph began to come back and was able to use his quickness to get back into the match when Corbin tried to lock in some headlocks and armbars.

Dolph then got his fair share of attack on the debuting rookie, but when Ziggler ran at him apparently looking for a Zig Zag, Corbin caught him and hit him with a massive Deep Six.

The fight then went to the outside, though, where he slung Ziggler over the barricade. He then went over the barricade himself and eviscerated him in the crowd.

The match was called at this point. When he brought Dolph back, the veteran tried to fight back. But Corbin caught him and hit The End of Days on the outside with huge impact to leave standing tall.

Result: Double-Countout

Woo Woo Woo! We Know It

New Intercontinental Champion Zack Ryder was out to bask in the moment of being the champ as the crowd chanted for him. He then boasted about having his WrestleMania moment and then thanked his dad, who was sitting ringside.

However, The Miz was out to interrupt the heartfelt moment, lamenting the fact that Ryder pushed him off the ladder at Mania. He eventually said that Ryder was just a flash in the pan and that he needed to prove himself by putting his new title on the line.

After being baited, Zack Ryder accepted.

Intercontinental Championship Match: Zack Ryder vs The Miz

Ryder and Miz went back and forth to start, but the new champ got the upper hand. When the match came back from commercial break, though, the tides had turned and then Long Island Iced Z was sent falling to the outside and Miz continued to work on him.

However, Ryder was able to fight back with some impressive counters, including flipping through a vertical suplex and turning it into a neckbreaker. It looked like Ryder might get the job done, too, as he hit a huge El-Bro Drop.

On the outside, though, Miz sent Ryder back-first into the apron and then began taunting Ryder’s dad. Zack’s father threw him to the ground and then allowed Ryder to get the advantage back.

When the action spilled back into the ring, though, and Zack looked to win, Maryse came out of the crowd and slapped Ryder’s dad across the face.

That distracted Ryder and Miz capitalized by hitting the Skull-Crushing Finale and picking up the win.

Winner and new Intercontinental Champion: The Miz

Backstage promo with Kevin Owens explaining why he was going to win in the main event.

Women’s Title Presentation

Lita was back again to officially present Charlotte with the new WWE Women’s Championship. All of the women on the roster were out in the ring as Charlotte came out to receive the newly minted belt.

The crowd was chanting incessantly throughout her acceptance speech, but Charlotte pressed on. After putting over women’s wrestling as a whole, though, Charlotte turned full heel and gloated in front of Sasha and Becky after beating them at WrestleMania 32.

This obviously didn’t sit well and all of the women left the ring while Charlotte ran them down. Natalya stayed, though, saying that they needed to have a match to prove whose lineage is superior.

Natalya then locked in the Sharpshooter on Charlotte, but Ric Flair pulled her away before it could really sink in. Looks like we’ve got our first feud for the Women’s title.

There was then a strange video package with two men (Primo and Epico) putting over how gorgeous Puerto Rico is. Looks like they’re going to debut these guys with yet another gimmick.

Tables Match: The Usos vs The Dudley Boyz

The Dudley Boyz and The Usos ran their match from Mania back, this time with tables being involved. Unfortunately, this match was every bit as unexciting as their first. The Dudleyz ultimately picked up the win, putting both brothers through tables to emphasize the win.

Winner: The Dudley Boyz

After that match, Renee Young was interviewing Sami Zayn about his spot in the main event on WWE RAW. However, while he was still talking, Kevin Owens brutally attacked him and put him through a table in the back, seemingly leaving his spot in the match in jeopardy.

Enzo and Cass are FINALLY Here!

After the Dudleys match and after the dust settled a bit, Enzo and Big Cass from NXT came out for the first time ever on the main roster.

They then ran down the Dudley Boyz with a fantastic promo. And when the veteran Dudleys wouldn’t fight them, they let them know that Dudleys are S-A-W-F-T, SAWWWFT!

So good to finally see these guys up.

Cesaro Returns!

With Sami Zayn out of the main event thanks to being attacked earlier, Shane O Mac still wanted a 4-Way and called up Cesaro to be the fourth man in this main event match to determine the No. 1 Contender.

Cesaro vs Kevin Owens vs AJ Styles vs Chris Jericho

This match was everything that you ever should want as a wrestling fan. All four guys looked like a million bucks, especially Cesaro in his return match. There were some crazy moves and spots throughout.

Cesaro had a really great spot where he just threw out uppercuts to everyone in the ring. Everyone got their own highlight spot, though, especially AJ Stytles at the end. He caught an errant Y2J  strike attempt and set up the Styles Clash. He hit it and rolled him up tight for the three-count.

Winner and New No. 1 Contender: AJ Styles

That’s the way the show went off. Though there’s still some repairs to do, this was a great show to rebound off of WrestleMania and all the letdowns there.
