Seth Rollins may be coming back on Monday’s episode of Raw.
WWE programming has missed Seth Rollins for the past five months ever since he suffered an injury. The Architect torn multiple knee ligaments during a live event match with Kane in Nov. 2015. This would force him to forfeit the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, which was won by Roman Reigns in a tournament.
Before Sunday night’s WrestleMania 32 event, WWE posted a short video of Rollins being backstage for the show. It was noted that he was limping around. There had been sporadic reports of him being back to training, but no update on his timetable to come back, which was projected to be about six to nine months.
Well, it seems the former NXT Champion may be making a return earlier than expected.
According to PW Insider, there is some talk of Rollins making his return on Monday’s episode of Raw despite being seen limping, which could have been worked up.
This event is usually the wildest atmosphere for WWE’s flagship show given the hot crowd from WrestleMania will be around. If the former Money in the Bank winner comes back, he could receive a pop similar to Triple H’s return from injury in 2002. The Game left as a heel but returned to be a babyface in this instance.
If Rollins does come back, he could be the challenger to Reigns, who won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Triple H on Sunday. Seth was never pinned to lose his title, so he may state his case and try to win the belt back. Maybe there could even be a title match on Raw.
If Seth Rollins does return on Raw, it should make for an interesting scene.
