The Cleveland Browns are a team that lacks talent all across the board. While many draft experts will project the Browns ultimately select a quarterback at this spot, if the Browns want to pick the ‘best player available’ then Jalen Ramsey should be the choice.

Ramsey is a total stud; he is a once in a decade player. If the Browns were to select Ramsey, they could play him as a pure corner or shift him to the safety position and have him learning how to cover tight ends and play ‘help’ defense. In other words, on a team that is a devoid of playmakers, taking Ramsey would give the team flexibility on the defense moving forward.

Additionally, the Browns have a wonderful cornerback in Joe Haden on the roster. A cornerback tandem of Haden and Ramsey would terrorize the AFC North for years to come.

In college, Ramsey was a leader and an extremely hard worker for Florida State. Furthermore, if current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston approves of Ramsey, that’s a good sign in my book.
